Palermo
We spent the day seeing sights in Palermo. Above is one of the market streets that has hundreds of people out in the streets eating and shopping. It makes for excellent people watching.
Benetton and Swatch? Back to the 80s. In Africa, all of the German kids kept playing music that was from the 80s as well. I think Bridget paid extra to get me the “80s” package. What a girl!
Here’s a little Sicilian separatist graffiti.
I have no idea what you mean.
The Palatine Chapel
Below is the Norman Palace. This is the oldest royal residence in Europe.
Here is the Palermo Cathedral.

Bridget really liked the turtles in the fountain at the Museo Historico.
The Garabaldi Theatre.
The Massimo Theatre.
And, this guy.
Palermo had so many things to see and do. We would have to come back to do it all. There are no good beaches directly in Palermo, even though it’s a coastal town, so they all come to Mondello. We’re only 15 minutes away. However the population is over 600,000. We can’t say enough good things about Sicily, so I guess we’ll be back. Tomorrow is Venice.
